Below Deck season 13 Premiere with Captain Kerry and Chief Stew Fraser
We just quickly handed off from one yacht to another in consecutive weeks, without gaps. I am always psyched to see Fraser.
They are in Thailand, on a yacht named the Azul V which cost $155,000 per week. The biggest yacht so far in Below Deck history must be the one we just left with Captain Sandy and Aesha. That thing was huge. Also, Fraser and Matt Rogers, the Bravo celebrity who hosts a number of things, including an awards show, split up, for the time being at least, while they are away from each other, which, to me, is an odd way to be in a relationship.
Captain Kerry like I said, is back this season and so is Chief stew is Fraser, and then lo and behold, Rainbeau, is back. Everyone else so far, is new to the show. Moises, the chef did well so far and then we have Kaylee and Rosa rounding off the Interior. A dude named Alex, is the bosun, Matt, Jessenia and James are the deckhands which again, that entire crew is new to the show.
The main head guests are Kenny Flowers (not Powers) along with his wife Christina. Christina has a nut allergy, which ironically, every dish and recipe in the country of Thailand is made with nuts. There are nuts everywhere throughout Thailand. They each want that quintessential Thailand culture. These guy know TJ from Southern Hospitality. They want to hook him up with Fraser and I like that couple.
These guys also seem okay so far. The two main guests, or primary guests, did wear matching outfits upon arrival, and then all of the guests later wore matching outfits at one of their first meals.
Like I alluded to above here, they seem to love Mo’s food stating, “I was really hoping to complain” about our dinner. Mo has a 19-year-old that he had when he was only 19 himself. He also revealed that someone close to died at home because of all things, a peanut allergy. He then maintains that “I’m straight positive, man. No negative. I don’t throw pots and pans. I’m not with the bullshit,” and is from Queens, Le Cordon Bleu Pittsburgh.
Fraser said, “shit, bro,” and that “It’s almost unsettling how cool he is.” He also served coconut ice cream which I would love to try.
As far as turmoil so far, Rainbeau is passive-aggressive right away, “Any questions you might have of me? Are you sure you feel comfortable?” She was also a bit in your face, “Is it more than an hour’s worth?” after Rosa told her that she had done this many times before. Rainbeau also made no bones about her style, saying it “might be for the best” that she is not in the same room with the other stews, because it’s a “lot of time to spend with someone.” Rosa, said that she was a chief stew which I feel many people throw that around and many times, its not true or its on some tiny boat. Regardless, she tells us she’s great “being dominant” and “good at being bossy.” If that is the case, she has the most experience inside in Fraser’s crew.
Matt said that Alex may be too soft to execute his job duties: “I think Alex is too soft. I know and I believe I can do a better job.” Didn’t we just end that storyline with Joe? Alex, seems to have some experience as he did well all episode. Captain Kerry says that he is “doing fantastic right now.” James says that his “sexuality as straight, bent it a little bit—I’m here for the boys as well.” He is bisexual but it seems like he may bit about hooking up with anything is what I got from his comments. He does act totally at ease with whatever you want to label it.
I wonder if that makes things easier or harder to find that one to fall deeply in love with creating a monogamous relationship. I guess you have more choices at love.
Anyway, Jessenia’s balls hang low evidently and whatever that means because she would that would be a constant annoyance to deal with every day. Does it make you stronger having low balls or whatever? It was said by her that it is because of the misogyny she dealt with in her life, “Things guys have said or done to me on boats,” starting with: “You know what these knee pads are for? Getting a raise.”
Then, Kaylee, tells Fraser, “I haven’t put anyone’s clothes away, ever.” that “I was taught that if I do good, I get praise” and something getting a treat after doing something good. It was odd.
Did someone in the background and in the crew said of captain Kerry to “Ignore him! He’s not even the real captain!”
Fraser gave Rainbeau an ex extensive list of chores to carry out every day. He also wants her to “keep an eye out for everyone which is more of an appeasing approach at Rainbeau. The only problem is that we will need to keep her honed in before she tells everyone she is the head of everyone. But it does empower her which is not a bad tactic in this case.
Alex made Matt the lead deckhand. Fraser said to Alex that, “It all works out—promise,” just before he walked up the steps saying “I really wish I hadn’t made that promise” under his breath.
Alex kissed Jessenia which also aired in the first episode. Then Alex goes to own have a revelation that “She is part of my team. That can cause problems.” You think?!
That of course will not end well. Until next week….
