The Finals Are Officially Here on The Challenge Cutthroat

Swing Into Action

“Swing Into Action” is the challenge this week, and honestly, I lost track while listening to TJ’s description of the challenge instructions. Do not get me wrong, I understood that you have to get to the far panel as fast as possible. I just started to daze off into the distance during his instruction. I would be good at this type of challenge. I would also have fun doing it. It did not seem hard for the likes of me if you make pretend that I in shape and in prime condition.

This is what I gathered about the task in this challenge. It was above a body of water, and I believe TJ boasted that it’s the largest apparatus of a course they have ever built for a challenge, which surprises me. I feel like I have seen bigger courses. Everyone must get through the four or five obstacles, again, as fast as humanly possible. They also had a one-hour time limit. If anyone fell, they had to start over while their team waited for them to get back up. That means no falling into the water in between the obstacles and planks. This is where it gets interesting because if anyone cannot finish the course, the entire team gets a 1-hour penalty.

That is the foreshadow of how everything culminated on this episode.

Grey went first. They moved very slowly, but at the same time, they didn’t make mistakes getting over the first obstacle. Adrienne, however, could not get through the second task, which required using a rope swing to get across. Lete is such a badass that all five times Adrienne missed, Lete would jump off and get back to where they had left off. Adrienne then jumped into the water, conceding the one-hour penalty. Lete then took over, going through the climbing platform, solving the puzzle, and using her body as a anchor for people to grab when she got to the slide. Everyone finished because of Lete, and somehow, they finished in under an hour.

Orange went next, and as Johnny said, they had the advantage of seeing where Grey went wrong by going second. Regardless, all six players got through to the rope swing. But then when they got to the punching bag, CT fell into the water. Right away, they took the one-hour penalty, offsetting the penalty assessed to Grey. Orange, without CT, swiftly moved through all the planks and obstacles before the puzzle. It took them too long, because the challenge ended. The Grey team won.

TJ then explains that the elimination this week can be either a man or a woman.

Justin freaks out and pleads with Adrienne not to agree to choose him if Tori says his name. Adrienne does not make any promises, and therefore Justin says he will throw the challenges, or something, if they do nominate him and Adrienne does not choose him to go in.

The Grey team has to choose someone too. Lete is really only concerned about Cara Maria. Cassidy thinks that Lete can run with the males, and Adrienne has never seen an elimination this season.

This is also a co-ed elimination in the Arena this week. The elimination is called Pressure Puzzles. The nominees have to complete three different puzzles inside a glass booth. Whomever gets the puzzle done first, gets to enact a distraction which is powder, gets let out in the other players glass booth.

Justin and Lete were picked to play in the elimination. Lete pretty much dominated it the entire way with Justin seemingly giving up at one point sending him home.

TJ tells everyone that it is time for the Final and that it ain’t no joke.

However, the episode continued, Lete is still pissed. She states that Adrienne is a coward. Adrienne says that she made the best choice because Lete did win in The Arena. She also says that she would have made CT her opponent. Lete says that her teammates want participation trophies.

On to the Finals which is a two part final spread out on two separate episode that begin next week.
