Alek Manoah, the Blue Jays pitcher was called out by MLB Network’s Anthony Recker while being on live tv on MLB Tonight for reportedly not giving it all in the gym. This rattled Manoah’s tranquility as he fired back.
Recker, a former catcher himself has been breaking down some of the best plays and players for the MLB Network, and it was during one of his segments that he said “I love you Manoah but show me you’re willing to put a little more time in the gym,”
Alek Manoah, the 6-foot, 285-pound pitcher responded quickly
“Hey @Anthony_Recker my job isn’t to please you,” Manoah responded on Twitter. “You are an outsider you don’t know me or my work ethic. What I do in the gym has clearly worked check the numbers, sucks you can’t say the same for yourself.”
He continued “Youre just like everyone else. Love to talk and then wanna say sorry when you get called out. If you wanna see how an All Star, 1st team All-MLB, and CY young finalist trains. Come meet me [at the gym].”
Recker wanted to make things right when he realized he made a mistake
After Recker acknowledged his mistake did what was right and apologized, and wrote a tweet “I made a mistake. Would love to get in touch with him to personally solve this.”
