DANCEHALL singer Donald “Sniper Storm” Chirisa will today headline a music gala set for Chibara village in Hurungwe North under Chief Kazangarare.
The gala, running from 10am to 6pm, is being organised by the ruling Zanu PF party’s Hurungwe central committee member Terrence Mukupe.
At the gala, Sniper Storm will share the stage with the Zimbabwe Republic Police Band.
Mukupe told NewsDay Life & Style that the gala is aimed at talent search among rural communities.
“We have some rural youths who are talented in arts, including music. This is their first time to showcase their talents during this musical gala,” he said.
“We want youths to enjoy local talent, and encourage them to stay away from drugs that can affect their health and wellbeing.”
