  • The show follows a grieving therapist who starts telling his patients what he really thinks.
  • A subscription to Apple TV Plus costs $7/month after a one-week free trial.

“Shrinking” premiered January 27 on Apple TV Plus. The new comedy joins the growing slate of Apple original shows like “Ted Lasso” and “Severance.”

“Shrinking” follows grieving therapist Jimmy Laird (Jason Segel), who begins to think he’s of no help to himself or his patients. However, he sees remarkable changes when he starts ignoring his training by telling his patients what he truly thinks. Jimmy’s unconventional approach to psychiatry and journey through grief are overseen by his boss and mentor, Dr. Paul Rhodes (Harrison Ford).

The cast of “Shrinking” also includes Harrison Ford (“Indiana Jones”) as Dr. Paul Rhodes, Jessica Williams (“Fantastic Beasts”) as Gaby, and Christa Miller (“Scrubs”) as Liz.

How to watch ‘Shrinking’

You can watch “Shrinking” exclusively on Apple TV Plus. The first two episodes premiered on January 27, and new episodes will be released every Friday through March 24.

After a recent $2 price increase, Apple TV Plus now costs $7 a month. A subscription includes access to Apple TV’s original series and movies, ad-free playback, and livestreams of MLB’s Friday Night Baseball games. Apple TV Plus is also included in the Apple One plan, which bundles four Apple services into one subscription for $17 a month.

The Apple TV Plus app is compatible with most smart TVs, mobile devices, and media players from major brands like Roku and Fire TV. The app is also available on all Apple products with the latest operating systems, including Apple TVs. Check out Apple’s website for the full list of supported devices.

Can I watch ‘Shrinking’ for free?

New subscribers can watch Shrinking for free by signing up for a seven-day Apple TV Plus trial. In order to watch the full season of “Shrinking” for free, you’ll need to wait until March 24 to sign up for the one-week trial.

Apple also offers special extended three-month trials to Apple TV Plus if you purchase select Apple devices, and Best Buy has an ongoing three-month Apple TV Plus trial promotion.

How many episodes will ‘Shrinking’ season one have?

“Shrinking” season one will include 10 episodes. The first two episodes dropped on Apple TV Plus on January 27, and weekly installments will follow on Fridays at 12 a.m. ET.

The season one finale of “Shrinking” is set to premiere March 24 at 12 a.m. ET exclusively on Apple TV Plus.

Has ‘Shrinking’ been renewed for a second season?

As of January 27, Apple TV has not renewed “Shrinking” for season two just yet. This decision will likely be made once the season one finale has premiered.
