LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ returns with a Season 2, and safe to say it has returned with a big bang. Last year, HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon‘ hooked everyone to the fantasy world of dragons, perhaps this year Prime’s ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ is taking the rails from the Emma D’Arcy starring series. This year the adult animated fantasy television series had a balance in regard to absurdist comedy and serious fantasy adventuring.
The first season consists of twelve episodes from which the first ten of which were funded via a Kickstarter campaign. In November 2019, ahead of the series premiere, the series was renewed by Amazon for a second season. And somehow history repeated itself when the streaming giant renewed a third season of the series way ahead of the premiere of the second season. Furthermore, the series stars Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham reprising their roles from ‘Critical Role’s first campaign.
Season 2 of ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ picks up where Season 1 left off, with the band of heroes known as Vox Machina celebrating saving the land of Tal’dorei from destruction. They are, Grog (Travis Willingham), a half-giant with a killer rage; Percy (Taliesin Jaffe), a gunslinger who’s overcome the demons of his past; Keyleth (Marisha Ray), a druid coming into her own; twins Vex (Laura Bailey) and Vax (Liam O’Brien), two siblings who have depended on each other since their youth; Pike (Ashley Johnson), a cleric with a talent for healing; and Scanlan (Sam Riegel), the lustiest of bards. Unfortunately for this crew of adventurers, their celebration was cut short by a group of dragons known as the Chroma Conclave. The Chroma Conclave is a group of talking dragons with unimaginable power who was able to ruin an entire town within the first two episodes.
Safe to assume, it is going to be a rollercoaster ride for all the viewers as the series is taking a turn towards an even more interesting plot which leaves the viewers with a single question: “will the Vox Machinas be able to stop it?”
Regardless, the second season will be released in three episode batches per week for a total of twelve episodes. You can watch the first three episodes of ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ Season 2 on Amazon Prime.
