The celebration began with college choir perfromance and principal Vinita Prakash reading out college annual report filled up with achievements and adoption of good academic practices.
Chief guest divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob asked students to embrace the religion of love, service and empathy.
“The most valuable life lessons are learned after stepping out of the college walls. Have compassion for the unfortunate rather than distancing oneself from it,” said Jacob. Quoting the Bible, she said “We must learn to be like salt and light, essential for the well-being, health and happiness of society.” The celebration concluded with the play — ‘Importance of Being Earnest’ — by famous playwright Oscar Wilde. It was directed by college faculty S Jain. The twist and turns in the play and girls perfectly playing the role of male protagonist was something that made everyone stand and applaud.
Students Megha Singh, Hera Ali, Kritika Rastogi, Aaliya Tasneem, Arjya Bose, Iqra Mariyam, Anubhuti Rastogi, Vatsala Mishra and Teesha played various characters with perfection.
